Watercolour Artist - Claire Robinson
Hello, I am Claire and I love animals...and painting them!
For as long as I can remember, I have been a lover of all animals. From a young age, I was fascinated by all creatures big and small. I would read animal books determined to become knowledgeable enough to become a vet when I was older.
I spent much of my adolescence riding horses with my border collie, Chloe, by my side.
In addition to my love of animals, I also grew up with a love for drawing, painting and creating. My father is an extremely talented artist and I have always looked up to him. He still continues to encourage my dreams and is incredibly supportive. Check out his art here!

I lost my mother, Julie, in 2019. It was a very difficult time for my family and painting became my therapy. Rediscovering my love for art helped me navigate my grief and calmed my anxious mind.
Soon I was gifting portraits to everyone at my workplace and I found that I couldnt wait to go home and start my next painting. It was then I realised that this is what I wanted to do with my future.
So I took a leap of faith and Lucy & Coco was born.

I am so humbled that what started as gifting pet portraits to friends and family for fun, has now become Lucy & Coco pet portraits! But more importantly, I feel so lucky to be able to do what I love full-time.
Each product in Lucy & Coco contains my original art. I hope you will enjoy the creations as much as I enjoyed creating each one of it.
In 2021, I will also fulfilling another lifelong dream - illustrating a children's book. I can't wait to showcase what I have done.
If you are local to Brisbane and Gold Coast, my work can also be seen and purchased at the Aussie Pet Collective from May 4, 2021.
Lucy came to our life as a rescue pup. She may be the sweetest girl but don't be fooled - she is very protective of her humans! She supports Mum's painting by sleeping at her feet to show her utmost support. She loves napping at many places around the house to assert her sleepy dominance. She also makes time in her busy napping schedule to play with her human siblings and catch up with Coco.
Recently her activity has ramped up a bit to include babysitting and teaching the new addition of the family, Indie. It's exhausting work but someone has got to teach the young blood how things are done around here
Hobbies: Barking at nothing, getting stuck, stealing blankets and napping.
Coco was a only few weeks old when he decided to come into our family and be the Cattain of the Ship. He loves to snuggle and sleep in his king size bed. He tolerates sharing the bed with the adult humans in the house because Rule #9 in How To Be an Effective Cattain King says "the more magnamious you are to your human subjects, the harder they will work to feed you".
Like a true Cattain, Coco is sassy and outspoken - you will know when he's unhappy! There may be two dogs and four humans in the house but let's not kid ourselves, Coco is the real Boss of the Hood.
Nobody messes with Coco.
Hobbies: Napping, running around the house at the most random of times, licking his humans, cuddles and head bobs.
Indie is the latest addition to our furmaly and is a true baby of the pack. She loves riding shotgun with mum and hanging out with her fur and human siblings. She also sometimes models all the outfit that mum buys for her.
As the baby of the family, she is a complete sook and gets away with a lot of things. *A lot*. She loves her cuddles and she tends to get them often.
She barely leaves mum's side so if you see mum out and about at pet stores and events, you can guarantee Indie is just right beside her!
Hobbies: Snoring, stealing car keys, cuddles and kisses.
